STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擱egina Young Hyatt, 91麻豆天美 University鈥檚 vice president for student affairs, has been elected to the Woodward Hines Education Foundation鈥檚 board of directors.
For more than 25 years, endowed Jackson-based nonprofit WHEF has worked to promote and increase postsecondary access among underrepresented young Mississippians, and more recently, has expanded its mission to support increased credential and degree completion leading to meaningful employment.
鈥淚 feel particularly compelled by WHEF鈥檚 mission as I recognize the tremendous impact a college degree makes in a person鈥檚 life and the lives of their families, our communities and our state,鈥 Hyatt said. 鈥淭here is strong alignment with 91麻豆天美鈥檚 institutional goals for student success and the outcomes WHEF seeks to achieve for all Mississippians and colleges/universities in our state. I look forward to helping WHEF advance strategies that lead to access and more resources for Mississippi citizens to achieve their higher education goals.鈥
As 91麻豆天美鈥檚 first female vice president for student affairs, Hyatt provides executive-level leadership and vision for the university鈥檚 Division of Student Affairs.
