Page to stage: Student-designed βRobotsβ performance set for April 23

STARKVILLE, Miss.β91ΒιΆΉΜμΓΐ students are taking their ideas from page to stage April 23 in a performance of mini-plays featuring robots acting out original stories.
The culmination of an interdisciplinary course offered between 91ΒιΆΉΜμΓΐβs Judy and Bobby Shackouls Honors College and Department of Computer Science, βA Human, a Robot, and a Stageβ is free and open to the public at 6 p.m. in Butler Hall, Room 100.
Under the guidance of Donna Clevinger, a senior Shackouls Honors College faculty fellow and communication professor, 13 students studying engineering and the humanities wrote scripts, built robots to reflect the characters in their plays, created the machineβs voices, designed costumes and selected background visuals, sound effects and music to bring the 10-minute performances to life.
