91ΒιΆΉΜμΓΐ senior kinesiology major Logan Locke of Starkville, a member of 91ΒιΆΉΜμΓΐ’s Army ROTC program, models the special Adidas β€œStatesman” uniform that the 91ΒιΆΉΜμΓΐ football team will wear for its Nov. 17 game against the University of Arkansas. The uniforms pay tribute to 91ΒιΆΉΜμΓΐ alumnus, World War II Veteran and former U.S. Rep. G.V. β€œSonny” Montgomery. Unveiled during a press conference Monday [Oct. 29] at the Montgomery Center for America’s Veterans at Nusz Hall, the uniforms are inspired by the Mississippi Air National Guard C-17 Globemaster III plane named β€œThe Spirit of G.V. β€˜Sonny’ Montgomery.” Montgomery served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1967-1997 and was author of the Montgomery G.I. Bill.
